Transform Your Life with Mind, Body, and Energy
Glenn Klein, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve greater well-being. Since graduating from Lesley College with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 1997, Glenn has dedicated his career to providing compassionate and effective psychotherapy to a diverse range of clients. His journey into the field of mental health was profoundly influenced by the HIV/AIDS epidemic of the 1980s. Witnessing the immense suffering and the inadequate societal response ignited in Glenn a passion for social justice and a desire to support individuals facing adversity.
Glenn's background encompasses not only a strong foundation in Western psychology, but also a lifelong exploration of Eastern spiritual traditions. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he pursued his artistic talent with a focus on jewelry design. His early career as a jewelry artist was cut short by the profound impact of the HIV/AIDS crisis. This transformative period led him to become actively involved in social activism, serving as an AIDS Buddy, joining ACT UP to advocate for greater awareness and support for individuals living with AIDS, and co-hosting a groundbreaking national, prime-time LGBT talk show.
During this time, Glenn also discovered a blossoming spiritual consciousness that resonated deeply within him. He immersed himself in the study of Hindu mysticism and yoga, ultimately finding himself drawn to the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts. There, he spent nineteen months living and learning, encountering a convergence between western psychological principles and Eastern spiritual practices that shaped his path towards becoming a psychotherapist.
This fusion of perspectives continues to inform Glenn's therapeutic approach today. His commitment to Eastern contemplative practices, including Tibetan Mahamudra and Dzogchen meditation, enriches his ability to guide clients towards greater self-awareness, compassion, and inner peace.
