Empowering Children, Supporting Families, and Fostering Growth
Welcome to Round Rock Child Psychology, where I, Dr. Alexandra Hudson, am dedicated to providing comprehensive and collaborative services to children and families. As a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, I am committed to empowering individuals to overcome challenges and thrive in their daily lives.
Our Approach
At Round Rock Child Psychology, we believe that parent involvement is a keystone in the assessment and treatment process. We recognize that parents are the experts on their child's history, behaviors, and relationships, and we work closely with them to develop a comprehensive understanding of their child's needs. We also strive to develop a full understanding of the child across the home, school, and community settings, and we collaborate with professionals from schools and other agencies to facilitate an inclusive assessment and treatment approach.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to address the unique needs of each child and family. Our services include:
- Comprehensive psychological assessments to identify strengths and challenges
- Individual and family therapy to address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism
- Behavioral and academic interventions to support children's development and learning
- Parent coaching and education to promote effective parenting practices
- Collaboration with schools and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to treatment
Training and Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN, and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. I completed my doctoral degree in child psychology through the APA-accredited School Psychology program at The University of Texas at Austin. I have extensive clinical training in individual therapy and psychological assessment across a broad age range, as well as experience working in schools and performing special education evaluations.
