Welcome to my practice! I view psychotherapy as a meaningful engagement between an individual and therapist to facilitate a positive life change as determined by the client. My approach to therapy focuses on how interpersonal relationships impact your daily functioning, focusing specifically on how we emotionally/physically move towards and away from others. Our life experiences and our worldview shape our behavior, thoughts, feelings, and emotions. We work together to improve your overall well-being by using interpersonal and humanistic psychotherapy approaches. Together, we focus on the underlying causes that brought you to therapy to enhance your well-being to strengthen your tools to live a fulfilling life.

I'm Matthew Love, Psy. D, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy. D) degree. I have received extensive clinical training, including working within public school systems, acute inpatient psychiatric facilities, and medical hospitals. I have also gained specific clinical training in Neuropsychological Assessment and the treatment of sports-related concussions at the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in California. My licenses include CT Psychologist License #3667, NY Psychologist License #0022471, and MA Psychologist License #11025.

My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate environment for clients in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts who are seeking support as they navigate life's challenges. I work with individuals, couples, college students, athletes, and even sports organizations to improve performance and culture. If you're struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or intense negative emotions, I'm here to help.
