At Aspiring Families, we are a premier mental health and wellness center located in Del Mar/Carmel Valley, San Diego. Our team of expert professionals, including medical doctors, educational specialists, expressive and somatic arts therapists, and behavioral specialists, are dedicated to providing comprehensive and integrated services to individuals, couples, and families.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services, including telehealth and in-person therapy and assessment services, designed to address a variety of challenges and concerns. Our services include:
- Therapy Services: We specialize in treating clients with depression, anxiety, OCD, autism/spectrum, social, developmental, school, learning, college, and career challenges, ADHD, trauma, loss, adoption, and medical concerns.
- Medical Services: We offer medical services for young adults, adults, and senior clients who may be struggling with medication adjustments, physical illnesses, and comorbid diagnoses.
- Neurofeedback Services: We offer state-of-the-art, FDA-approved, 19-sensor neurofeedback services for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Psychoeducational, Diagnostic, and Neuropsychological Assessments: We offer comprehensive, in-person or telehealth, standardized, and norm-based assessments for cognitive, academic, giftedness, learning, memory, attention, executive functioning, developmental, emotional, behavioral, and social challenges for children, adolescents, college students, adults, and seniors.
- Telemental Health Services: We offer telehealth services for clinical evaluations, assessments/testing, therapy, medications, educational support, expressive arts therapy, somatic therapy, and neurofeedback.
Meet Our Team
Our team is led by Dr. Azmaira Maker, Ph. D., a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of expertise. Dr. Maker has been selected five years in a row for the San Diego Awards for Psychologist and has won the Top Doctor Award in San Diego in 2019 and 2020. Dr. Maker has also authored two multi-award-winning books.
