A better you starts with a choice.
At our practice, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. As a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California, I, Jennifer Dyer-Friedman, Ph. D., have advanced training and many years of experience in treating a wide range of psychological and emotional issues.
Education and Training
My educational journey began at Punahou High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, where I graduated in 1980. I then went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honors in Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1984. I then pursued my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1992. I earned my Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from the same university in 1996.
Throughout my education and training, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various internships and practicums. These included the UC Berkeley Outpatient Clinic, the Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinez, California, and the Children's Health Council in Palo Alto, California. I also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University.
Clinical Services
My clinical services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family. When we first meet, I begin by listening and developing an understanding of what's causing or contributing to your distress and difficulties. I work closely with my clients to develop a treatment plan that suits their needs and goals.
Treatment Approaches
I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including developmental, psychodynamic, interpersonal, family systems, and neurobehavioral approaches to treatment. I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest scientific research on the effectiveness of various psychotherapeutic treatment methods, ensuring that my clients receive the best possible care.
