Cultivating Intimacy with Self and Other
Welcome to Our Practice
At our practice, we understand that every individual's journey is unique, and our approach to therapy reflects that. As a registered associate marriage and family therapist, I, Paul LeBars, have dedicated myself to providing a supportive and compassionate space for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
With a master's degree in transpersonal psychology from John F. Kennedy University and a BA in English Literature with a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies in Language and Art from San Francisco State University, I have honed my skills in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, somatic psychotherapy, and internal family systems therapy.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to support individuals and couples in achieving their personal and relationship goals. Our areas of specialization include:
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy: A highly effective approach to treating anxiety, depression, and stress, which combines mindfulness practices with cognitive-behavioral techniques.
- Somatic Psychotherapy: A gentle and compassionate approach that focuses on the physical and emotional sensations in the body to promote healing and release.
- Couples Counseling: We provide a safe and supportive environment for couples to work through their challenges and strengthen their relationship.
- Sliding Scale Therapy: We offer flexible pricing to ensure that everyone has access to therapy, regardless of their financial situation.
Our Approach
Our practice is centered around the concept that conscious awareness is the key to unlocking personal growth and transformation. We strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where our clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
During our sessions, we employ a variety of techniques to promote self-awareness, including mindfulness exercises, guided imagery, and somatic experiencing. We also draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Hakomi, parts work, and internal family systems therapy, to tailor our approach to each client's unique needs and goals.
Who We Serve
Our practice serves individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ community, highly sensitive individuals, and those struggling with co-dependency. We also provide support for those experiencing trauma, grief, and loss.
Telehealth Options
We offer telehealth services for individuals and couples residing in the state of California. This allows us to provide our services remotely, making it more convenient for our clients to access therapy at their own pace.
