Our Expertise

Our team is led by Teresa Welch, a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience in the field. Teresa received her Master's degree in 1987 from The Pennsylvania State University, where she was a University Scholar and received a full scholarship to complete her master's degree. Her thesis was published in a professional journal. In 1995, after three years of clinical supervision and passing the licensure examination, she was licensed as a psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania.

Teresa has extensive experience in various settings and is well-versed in many problem areas that her clients bring to her practice. She is adept at helping people with depression, grief/loss, anxiety, anger management and stress, alcoholism or drug addiction, family members of alcoholics or addicts, relationship issues, parenting problems, GLBT issues, PTSD, and abuse histories in all forms.

We use evidence-based approaches that are tailored to your specific needs. We also incorporate therapy dogs into our sessions, as they have been proven to have a positive impact on mental health. Our therapy dog, Gabby, was certified by Therapy Dog International in the fall of 2015 and has been an integral part of our practice ever since.

Teresa regularly attends continuing education seminars approved by the American Psychological Association to ensure that her skills and knowledge are up-to-date. This allows us to provide you with the most effective and innovative treatments available.
