Welcome to Cassandra Adams, PhD, PLLC, a private psychological practice located in Plano, Texas. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am dedicated to providing individual therapy services to adults aged 18 and above. My practice is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Our Services
I provide individual psychotherapy services to adults, addressing a wide range of issues, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, anger management, assertiveness training, relationship difficulties, and non-traditional relationships. My expertise also extends to issues related to sex and sexuality, as well as college and graduate students.
I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, catering to clients' unique needs and preferences. Although I do not provide couples therapy or family therapy at this time, I am open to inviting significant others or family members to attend occasional sessions with your consent.
Fees and Insurance
My typical fee is $150 per session, with a sliding-scale fee available for a limited number of clients. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) insurance and can provide you with the necessary information to submit claims independently. Please note that insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed, and you should confirm out-of-pocket costs with your insurance company.
Appointment Policies
Please allow 24 hours' notice for any session changes, including cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours' notice will not incur a fee. Any session cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice will be charged a late cancellation/no show fee.
My Background and Training
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have extensive training and experience in treating a wide range of difficulties with clients from diverse backgrounds. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Alfred University, a Master's degree from UT Tyler, and a PhD from UT Southwestern Medical Center.
My Approach to Therapy
At Cassandra Adams, PhD, PLLC, I believe that every individual deserves respect, compassion, and understanding. My approach to therapy is tailored to each client's unique needs, exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

Once scheduled, you'll receive an email with a link to my client portal, where you can input your contact information, communication preferences, and other basic details. Please review your consent forms carefully and contact me with any questions or concerns.
Beginning Therapy
Our first few sessions will focus on getting to know each other, establishing expectations, and identifying therapeutic goals. I will most likely take notes during our initial sessions. However, I usually do not take notes during sessions.
