At Inner Wisdom Therapy, our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals, couples, and families can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner. As a licensed clinical social worker, I, Leilani Jefferies, am committed to helping my clients uncover their inner wisdom and achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.
About Me
As a licensed clinical social worker, I have been working in the field of counseling since 2002. My approach is collaborative and personalized, and I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and self-awareness. I have been influenced by Buddhist psychology and believe that all of the keys to healing lie within oneself. I am passionate about helping my clients uncover unconscious thinking patterns and understand why their actions do not always mirror their intentions.
As a Certified Yoga Teacher with specialized training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Yoga for Mental Health, I also enjoy using yoga and body-centered mindfulness practices as appropriate and desired. I have experience working with at-risk populations, and my areas of practice include trauma resolution, anxiety and depression, stress management, relationship/couples counseling, parenting, addiction and recovery, anger management, and intergenerational patterns of neglect and abuse.

Changing habits is a process that requires mindfulness, self-awareness, and commitment. At Inner Wisdom Therapy, we believe that lasting change is possible when individuals understand the reasons behind their behaviors and develop a growth mindset. We offer the following tips for changing habits:
1. Practice mindfulness meditation to become aware of your thoughts and behaviors
2. Identify the habits you want to change and create a plan to replace them with positive behaviors
3. Monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed
4. Seek accountability and support from a therapist or support group
