I had a prenatal massage at the Womb Room with Eric and it was wonderful!! He is so knowledgeable in prenatal techniques and massages - I was in very capable hands! It was such a relaxing experience and soothed areas and muscles I didn’t even realize were holding tension (like my knee and elbows)! Can’t wait to use their other services once the baby is born!
My husband and I are first time parents and we decided to contact the womb room and eventually hired Shannon as our doula. Even though we got in touch with Shannon a few weeks prior to our due date; from the first time we met her through zoom she brought such warmth, knowledge and reassurance to out last few weeks of pregnancy.
I went into labor a week prior to my due date and as a result, both my husband and I felt a bit rushed and unprepared, but Shannon's gentle guidance made us feel supported, heard and truly cared for. During labor Shannon was incredible. She created such a peaceful ambiance inside our delivery room and provided comfort techniques, encouragements and attended to all my needs. I felt empowered and safe knowing she was by my side. Even after birth, her check-ins and at home visit helped us navigate some of the challenges we faced as first time parents.
I am still in awe and touched by the care I received from Shannon. She has a true passion for this work and both my husband and I are extremely grateful she was part of our birth journey.
If you are unsure about hiring a doula please consider this as a sign to get one. If you're looking for someone compassionate and wholeheartedly dedicated, Shannon is the one.
Every person we’ve met at the womb room for classes, groups, yoga and massage (Erik) have all been wonderful! The community, safe space, and support this place provides is amazing and very needed. We felt welcomed and educated the whole time.
I stopped going toward the end of my pregnancy because life got hectic, but now that I’m starting to get into a routine as a new mom, I plan to come back for the postnatal and mommy & me classes. It feels like a good place to ease back in, both physically and mentally.
Kristie provided were extremely valuable including written material, clear presentation, and practical exercises.
There was a lot of information on different options and interventions while making it clear that the best choice is the one that you make. This positive attitude gave us a lot of confidence. The practical exercises also helped us identify gaps in our communication and birth plan - gaps which we can now fill.
We also really appreciated the single day format, we felt it was much easier to fit into our schedules.
