Belonging to oneself is the greatest thing in the world.

Who We Are

At Kate Guts Psychotherapy, we believe that therapy should be a collaborative and creative process that fosters personal growth and self-discovery. As a licensed mental health counselor, I have the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and groups to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach is rooted in the interpersonal neurobiological perspective, which recognizes the complex interplay between an individual's brain, body, and environment.

Our Approach

My approach to therapy is eclectic and draws from various theoretical backgrounds, including somatic, polyvagal, humanistic, psychoanalytic, existential, and cognitive interventions. I am trained in numerous modalities, including Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. While I draw on these theories and models, I also prioritize a nuanced understanding of each client's unique neurobiological, environmental, and developmental process.
