Report
This practice is one of the most unethical, compassionless, and dangerous environments I have ever encountered in mental health care. I was dropped as a client after missing two appointments during one of the lowest points in my life. Days were blending together under the weight of severe mental distress, and when I realized, I joined the session late and even apologized, explaining my situation.
Instead of responding with care, I was met with the dismissive phrase: Its the practice policy. That single response reveals the truth about this place: there is no empathy, no compassion, and no basic ethical responsibility. Mental health professionals should understand that missing appointments can be a direct symptom of the very conditions patients seek help for. A competent, ethical therapist would meet that with understanding, not punishment. Here, however, I was treated as nothing more than a liability, a disruption to their schedule, and ultimately, a number on their books.
To make matters worse, after dropping me as a patient, they called Chandler PD. If you claim to care about someones well-being, why abandon them first? This contradictory behavior only highlights what this practice truly values: not people, but policy, control, and profit. The damage this approach inflicts is real. Instead of healing, I was left with additional trauma and the burden of searching for a new therapist while processing the harm caused by this one.
A therapeutic relationship is supposed to provide safety, consistency, and support this practice offered indifference, rigidity, and abandonment. Mental health care is not a business transaction, yet this practice operates exactly like one. They will take your money while you are convenient, but the moment you require patience, understanding, or actual compassion, you will be discarded. This is not just poor practice it is unethical and dangerous to vulnerable people. If you are considering this place, protect yourself and reconsider. This practice will not only fail to help you it risks leaving you worse than when you first walked in.
