As a licensed clinical psychologist, Erin Kuntze, Psy. D., is dedicated to providing a direct, candid, intuitive, and dynamic approach to psychodynamic psychotherapy. With extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and walks of life, Erin offers a unique and personalized approach to understanding and addressing the complexities of the human experience.

Our approach is rooted in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, which focuses on the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist as a catalyst for growth and transformation. By creating a safe and non-judgmental space, Erin helps clients gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
Services

Our services include individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. Individual therapy is tailored to each client's unique needs and goals, with a focus on building emotional awareness, developing self-acceptance, and cultivating meaningful relationships. Couples therapy is designed to strengthen relationships and improve communication, while group therapy provides a supportive and educational environment for individuals to explore shared challenges and experiences.
Experience

With over 15 years of experience in the field, Erin has worked with clients from various backgrounds, including the LGBTQIA+ community, the BDSM and sex work communities, kinky folks, people in non-traditional relationship configurations, and those experiencing symptoms related to cancer, grief, addiction, recovery, complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
Education
------------
Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master's and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She completed her pre-doctoral training at The Saturday Center for Psychotherapy and her post-doctoral training at Mission Mental Health Services in San Francisco.
Clinical Training

Erin's clinical training includes working at Mission Mental Health Services, where she worked with non-insured clients in individual therapy, and at Pacific Institute, where she conducted individual, group, and family therapy. She also has experience in group therapy settings, working with adults struggling with dementia, anxiety, depression, psychosis, and chronic illness.
