Empowering You to Invite Change and Growth

Hello, and welcome to Orlando Wellness & Psychological Services, a place where you can find solace, understanding, and effective solutions to your emotional and mental health concerns. I am Dr. Susan Tweeten, a licensed psychologist, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to help you embark on a journey towards healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.

At Orlando Wellness & Psychological Services, we believe that progress is impossible without change, and that those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. Our mission is to help you change your mind, so that you can be empowered to change your life. We offer comprehensive counseling services tailored to meet your unique needs and preferences, combined with a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach that fosters trust, respect, and collaboration.

Our Specialties and Services

At Orlando Wellness & Psychological Services, we specialize in a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, panic, and depression, eating, body, and weight concerns, self-esteem, perfectionism, and assertiveness, trauma, and emotional neglect. Our services include individual therapy, stress management, relationship/couples therapy, and therapy for teens, all aimed at helping you achieve your goals, overcome your challenges, and enhance your overall well-being.

In our therapy sessions, we combine practical, solution-focused strategies with depth-oriented exploration to help you better understand yourself and/or relationships, find your anchor in the midst of suffering, learn skills to move toward what you value most in life, and ultimately, empower you to invite change into your life. We understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and we work collaboratively with you to create a personalized treatment plan that suits your needs, preferences, and values.

Our individual therapy services are designed to help you address your unique concerns and challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, or relationship issues. We use evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy, to help you develop coping skills, insights, and resilience.

Our stress management services focus on helping you identify and manage the sources of stress in your life, such as work, school, or relationships, and teach you effective strategies to reduce stress, increase relaxation, and enhance your overall well-being. We use mindfulness-based interventions, relaxation techniques, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to help you manage stress and prevent its negative effects on your mental and physical health.

Our relationship/couples therapy services are geared towards helping you and your partner improve your communication, conflict resolution, and intimacy skills, and strengthen your bond and connection. We use evidence-based therapies, such as emotionally focused therapy (EFT), the Gottman method, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to help you address your relationship issues, such as communication difficulties, infidelity, or lack of intimacy, and cultivate a more fulfilling and satisfying relationship.

Our therapy for teens services are designed to help adolescents navigate the challenges and transitions of adolescence, such as identity formation, peer relationships, academic pressures, and emotional regulation. We use developmentally appropriate interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family therapy, to help teens develop coping skills, self-awareness, and resilience, and improve their relationships with family, peers, and school.
